Proposal: Lapping Everyone On the Couch
Helping Women Find Motivation to Work Out and Stay Healthy

Needs and Opportunities
Many young women in high school play sports and are fed whatever their parents deem appropriate, this of course changes when young women begin their journeys as college students. They are no longer are involved in a team that practices for two hours, 6 days a week and they are now burdened with the task of their nutritional upkeep. This project will provide fitness suggestions and nutritional information to those who are adjusting to life in college.

Audience/ Clients/ Users
Women of any age who are looking for ways to stay motivated and find nutritional tidbits will be able to find this project because of the many outlets of social media it will be shared on.

Timeline

Week 3 (May 29th) Write a blog about the different fitness apps available

Week 5 (June 12th) Interview personal trainers and publish a blog of their interview. Open the blog to discussion with readers.

Week 7 (June 26th) Write a blog about the different nutrition apps available and interview a nutrition expert.

Week 9 (July 10th) Create Ted Talk

The Product

The product of this project will be a website and forum discussing fitness and nutrition. This will benefit women attempting to find out about how to be healthy. This will mostly be aimed towards women at the college level.

Reality Check

I believe that hunting down sources for interviews. I hope the service I use for my website will be free, but I will probably have to pay experts for their time. If I could talk to doctors that would also be something I would be interested in.

Conclusion

I am really excited about this project because I love fitness and I have seen first hand the struggles and joy surrounding it. I love dragging friends to the gym and teaching them about what I learn through others. I really hope that this website will give women motivation and a way to become more comfortable with themselves.
